Activities
The cottage is an ideal base for exploring both Skye and Wester Ross. There are many activities to try including hill walking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and cycling. For the less energetic take a stroll along the beautiful, unspoilt Ashaig beach (only 200 yards from the cottage) and look out for seals, herons, oyster-catchers and other shore birds.
Visit the amazing archeological dig of High Pasture Cave at Torrin, approximately a 10 mile drive. Take a boat trip to stunning Loch Coruisk on the Misty Isle or visit the island of Rhum and see porpoises, seals, and varied sea birds. Or make a day trip to the Western or Small Isles on a Calmac ferry.

For the more energetic try a walk in the Cuillin Mountain range. After a day in the hills there are many fine restaurants for dining, serving local
produce and fresh seafood. These include the renowned: Kinloch Lodge, The Three Chimneys Restaurant and the Bosville Hotel.

The nearby village of Broadford has all the usual facilities including: A tourist information office, supermarket and shops, bank and post office, 24 hour service station which also sells essentials and gifts. There is also a doctor, dentist and a hospital with accident and emergency facilities. Broadford also has a number of hotels, pubs and restaurants.
